Suzaku Taiko is dedicated to sharing both traditional and contemporary
Japanese Taiko works and storytelling. This dynamic group brings to the
stage their respect, enthusiasm, and love of Taiko drumming and its culture.
Taiko literally means "large drum" in Japanese. Taiko also refers to the
discipline and art of traditional Japanese drumming performed at the
beginning of Japanese festivals, dedications, or other important events.
Taiko drumming is dynamic, spirit filled, very exciting to watch and listen
to. It raises the intensity and positive mood of any event it opens.
