About the
Spokane Folklore Society ...



TheSpokane Folklore Society was established in 1977 and is a non-profit
organization run by volunteers; it is supported by membership dues,

events admissions and donations.

Mission Statement: The purposes of the Spokane Folklore Society shall be to promote a broader community awareness of our cultural

and folk traditions, such as music, dance and other folk arts through such
social and educational events as concerts, dances, festivals,

workshops, lectures, demonstrations and newsletters.

NEWSLETTER - The SFS newsletter is published monthly and is part of the membership subscription.

Copy deadline is the 15th of the month. Articles are welcome; send them to our Newsletter Editor. If you have

questions, contact the editor,  spofosonewsletter@gmail.com . If you do not receive a newsletter after joining,

please report it right away by emailing myspokanefolklore@gmail.com

MEMBERSHIP - Spokane Folklore Society Memberships run from September to August of each year.

our monthly newsletter) is included as a free service for members only.
We request a short ad of 2 to 3 lines or business card size. 

PERFORMERS / ARTISTS REFERRAL DIRECTORY - The SFS maintains a Directory of
local folk performers, artists and instructors, as well as events such
as music, jams and song circles.

DISCOUNT / GROUP RATES - Members of
the SFS and other Folklore Organizations receive discounts for all SFS
events. Other Groups may request discounts in advance for a single
event. Discounts are also available for a single event.

Quality concerts? Cultural and Educational Programs? You can help!
Donations to the Spokane Folklore Society are tax deductible.
